Detectives are investigating robberies at three separate convenience stores.  Similar suspect descriptions and methods lead Officers to believe the robberies are connected.

The first robbery occurred at 5:25 a.m. when two black males confronted the store clerk at the 7-11 located in the 5500 block of Calder.  The two men produced handguns and demanded money.  The clerk complied and the robbers fled the store with an undetermined amount of cash and store merchandise. The robbers did not physically injure the clerk during the incident.

The second robbery occurred at 6:00 a.m. when two black males confronted the store clerk at the J & J Express located in the 3100 block of Cardinal Drive.  The two men produced handguns and demanded money.  During the course of this robbery, the suspects assaulted a customer.  The robbers then fled the store without receiving any cash.  Beaumont EMS treated the customer at the scene for his minor injuries.  The robbers did not physically injure the clerk during the incident.

The third robbery occurred at 6:15 a.m. when two black male confronted the store clerk at the Express Mart located in the 2200 block of Interstate 10 South.  The two men produced handguns and demanded money.  The clerk complied and the robbers fled the store with an undetermined amount of cash and store merchandise.  The robbers did not physically injure the clerk during the incident.

Clerks in all three robberies described the first suspect as a black male, about 5’10” tall, weighing about 145 pounds.  He wore black jeans, a black jacket, and a red bandana covering his face, a black knit hat and red tennis shoes.  They described the second suspect as a black male, about 6’0” tall, weighing about 155 pounds.  He wore a black jacket, a black hat with red lettering, and black and white shoes.  Detectives believe they did drive a vehicle but witnesses were not able to give any vehicle description.

Detectives are in the process of reviewing surveillance videos from the stores and interviewing witnesses.  They are asking for any person who may have information about these robberies to call Crime Stoppers at 409-833-TIPS.  When we identify and apprehend these suspects, they will face charges of Aggravated Robbery, a first-degree felony.
