Wednesday evening, 09/17/14, at about 9:40 p.m., Patrol Officers responded to a reported robbery at the Family Dollar Store located at 1005 Washington Blvd. in Beaumont’s south end.

The clerk told officers that a man entered the store, brandished a handgun, and demanded money. After receiving an undetermined amount of cash, the suspect fled the store on foot. Employees last saw the robber running westbound on Euclid Street behind the store.

The clerk described the man as a black male, about 5’09”, with a medium complexion, wearing a dark blue hooded sweatshirt, green jeans, white gloves, and a maroon bandana covering his face. He did not physically injure anyone during the commission of the robbery.

Detectives are interviewing witnesses and asking the public to phone Crime Stoppers at 833-TIPS with any information that may lead to the identity of this suspect.
