On Thursday, December 18, at about 5:11 p.m., Patrol Officers responded to a report of two bodies found behind a house in the 3300 block of Concord Road. A resident of the house phoned our 911 Communications Center after he found two of his family members deceased in a wooded area located on their property.
Officers arrived and found two men deceased. Detectives have a preliminarily identified the men as two brothers from Houston. Detectives are still working to verify their ages. The men were relatives of the residents of the house.
Detectives have conducted initial interviews of family members and at this early point in the investigation, it appears that this incident may have been a double suicide. The behavior and conversations of the two brothers during the past weeks appears to indicate their intention to commit suicide.
Detectives are in the process of taking formal statements from family members to confirm these initial reports. Judge Nancy Beaulieu has ordered autopsies as the investigation continues.
Detectives are not releasing the identities of the two men pending formal notification of their next of kin.
