Detectives are still investigating the shooting that occurred Sunday night, December 11, 2016 in the 2000 block of Longfellow Dr. Detectives have released the name of the 20 year old deceased male. He has been identified as Joseph Summers, Mid- County resident. It is still too early to comment on the incident. Detectives have to take statements from of all witnesses and investigate evidence.
Sunday, December 11th, 2016, at 11:34 p.m., officers responded to a home in the 2000 block of Longfellow Dr, in reference to a victim of a shooting. Upon arrival, one subject, a 20 year old Mid County man, was located in front of the residence and was deceased. A second subject, a 20 year old resident, was located inside of the residence, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The initial investigation revealed an attempted aggravated robbery. The second subject was transported to St Elizabeth and is in critical condition.
We have reports that there may have been another person involved that left in a truck.
