At approximately 4:00 AM, Beaumont Fire Rescue units responded to a reported structure fire at West Brook High School, 8750 Phelan. When firefighters arrived, they found a small structure at the rear of the school on fire. This small structure is the saw-dust collection area behind the school’s wood shop. The fire was confined to this collection area and there was no damage to the school. The fire appears to have been caused by a spark in the saw-dust that smoldered before breaking into flames. There were no injuries.
