The L.E.A.R.N. (Lewis Educational and Recreational Nonprofit) and the Elmo Willard Branch Library have teamed up to offer a babysitting class for participants (ages 12 – 18) on Monday, July 24 from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. The class will follow the American Red Cross Babysitter’s Training lesson plans and guidelines. The class will provide participants who are planning to babysit with the knowledge and skills necessary to safely and responsibly provide care for children and infants. The training will help to develop leadership skills, learn how to develop a babysitting business, keep themselves and the children safe and help children behave and learn about basic child care.
