On Tuesday, February 24th, Beaumont Animal Services will be participating in World Spay Day 2015. This is a national event created to shine a spotlight on spay/neuter as a solution to euthanasia of adoptable animals. Millions of homeless pets enter U.S. animal shelters each year. Many never find a good home and have to be put down. Shelters and rescue groups can’t save and support the huge number of strays, family pets, and accidental litters brought through their doors every day. You can help to reduce these numbers by spaying and neutering your pets.
This year Animal Services has teamed up with Beaumont West Animal Care and West End Animal Clinic to bring free spays or neuters to all adopters on World Spay Day. Animal Services will also be waiving the adoption fee for long term animals; animals that have been in the shelter longer than 30 days. Stop by the Beaumont Animal Services Animal Shelter located at 1884 Pine St. and adopt your new best friend today. They are open for adoption Monday thru Thursday 10:00 am till 6:00 pm and on Friday 10:00 am till 5:00 pm. Also, Beaumont Animal Services encourages everyone to like their Facebook page to view all of their adoptable pets and to get the latest updates on the World Spay Day event.
