6/29/2015 – At approximately 3:38 AM, Beaumont Fire Rescue units responded to a structure fire at 2145 Harriot Street. When the first fire engine arrived, they reported the house to be fully involved with fire and the house on either side (at 2125 and 2155 Harriot) were catching on fire as well. The house at 2145 Harriot was a total loss from the fire. Firefighters were able to stop the fire at 2125 Harriot and confine that fire damage to the exterior. The house at 2155 Harriot sustained heavy fire damage, but firefighters were able to stop the fire before it damaged the house at 2165 Harriot. Additional units were called to the scene to assist.
All occupants that were known to be home at the time of the fire were able to escape without injury. One firefighters was treated by Beaumont EMS on the scene for dehydration. The cause of the fire is undetermined at this time.
