Beaumont Fire were dispatched to 1092 Elgie on a report of a home on fire. They arrived and found the front section of the dwelling heavily involved by fire. They conducted an interior fire attack and within a few minutes were able to bring the fire under control. The occupants of the home were able to escape unharmed. The cause of the fire was determined to be a window air conditioning unit. Red Cross was contacted to provide assistance to the occupants, two females and three males. The house next door sustained minor exterior fire damage to its surface. No firefighters were injured extinguishing this blaze.
