Foster a Lonely Pet

BAS will again sponsor the “Foster a Lonely Pet for the Holidays” program.

Beaumont Animal Services and Petfinder.com are again participating in the national “Foster a Lonely Pet for the Holidays” pet fostering program. Across the country, more than 13,000 pet rescue organizations are trying to empty their kennels for Christmas, encouraging members of the public to invite a pet home for the holidays.

Beaumont Animal Services has an average population of 60 adoptable dogs and 30 adoptable cats. All of our pets older than 3 months are vaccinated against rabies. We support indoor homes only for our cats, excluding barn cats.

The goal for the “Foster a Lonely Pet for the Holidays” program is to have each of these pets into a home by noon on Dec. 21. People interested in making this Christmas and New Year a happy holiday for a pet in need, or who want more information, have several ways to reach us:

  • View our available pets and pick up an application at 1884 Pine St. We have new extended hours: Monday through Thursday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and on Friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • View our adoptable pets online at www.petfinder.com. We are also on facebook.
  • Still have questions? Call us at 409-838-3304.

We hope you will open your home and your heart this holiday season.
