The South East Texas Regional Planning Commission (SETRPC) will hold a public meeting on Wednesday, March 30th, 2016 beginning at 5:30pm at the SETRPC offices located at 2210 Eastex Freeway, Beaumont, Texas 77703. The purpose of the meeting is to encourage the public’s participation in the upcoming update of the Hazard Mitigation Action Plans for the South East Texas Region of Hardin, Jefferson and Orange Counties. The Federal Emergency Management Administration (FEMA) requires the plans be updated every five (5) years. The goal of the Mitigation Action Plan is to outline projects within the region that can mitigate/reduce/prevent the loss of life and property as a result of a natural disaster.
