The homicide victim has been identified as Brandon Keith Pratt, a 32 year old Beaumont man.
Wednesday, August 02, 2017 at 1:01 p.m., officers responded to the 5000 block of Pine Burr in reference to a victim of a shooting. Upon arrival, witnesses told officers the victim was walking south on Pine Burr when a lone black male approached the victim. Witnesses heard multiple shots and the lone male ran west behind the church. The victim was transported to the hospital by EMS and died from his injuries.
The suspect is described as a black male, between 20 to 30 years of age, dark complexion, small, faded afro, white shirt, smoky-gray blue jean type shorts or possibly blue camo type shorts and white tennis shoes.
