On Tuesday, February 20, 2018 at about 8:50 a.m., Beaumont Police responded to the Family Dollar located at 1550 Calder in reference a Burglary in progress. Several witnesses on scene observed the suspect inside the business and gave a description to police. Officers arrived in the area and detained the suspect, who was walking away. A burglary report had just been completed at a separate location in which Officers observed surveillance video of the same suspect. The suspect was identified as 27 year old, Matthew Norman, he was arrested for Burglary of a Building and transported to the Jefferson County Jail.
