Wednesday, June 28, 2017, Beaumont Police arrested Brandon Julian Jamol Coleman, a 26 year Beaumont man, for the murder of Catherine Dungan.
Saturday, June 24, 2017 at approximately 6:20 p.m., officers responded to a call about a deceased female at Collier’s Ferry Park, located in the 5300 block of Pine St. Upon arrival, the officers located Catherine Jane Dungan, a 54 year old Beaumont resident, deceased and laying in the parking lot. The investigation revealed Coleman kidnapped, bound and appeared to have sexually assaulted Dungan.
Coleman was arrested, brought to the station to speak with investigators and then transported to Jefferson County Jail and booked in for Capital Murder.
