Beaumont Police Detectives have a man in custody for the murder of Alex Straway, a 23 year old Beaumont man.
Seth Joachim Haynes, 20 year old Beaumont man, was located in Beaumont, Sunday, January 15, 2017. Haynes admitted he killed Alex Straway in Alex’s vehicle, on Avie Ln near Donna Ln. He then brought Alex’s body and vehicle to the 3300 block of McHale and burned them both.
This case was solved quickly due to the cooperation of several different units of the Beaumont Police Department, including Patrol, SAU, Narcotics, I.D., Traffic, Dispatch and the Jefferson County District Attorney’s Office.
