Sen. Cornyn, Leader McCarthy, Reps. Weber and Babin to Visit Beaumont Today to Volunteer, Hold Press Conference on Funding for Harvey Recovery Efforts
BEAUMONT– U.S. Senator John Cornyn (R-TX), House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA), and U.S. Representatives Randy Weber (TX-14) and Brian Babin (TX-36) will be in Beaumont this morning to receive a briefing from emergency management and local officials on response and recovery efforts as well as volunteer at a water distribution center in the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey. Following the activities, the members will hold a press conference on the effort in Congress to pass emergency funding to aid in the recovery for the Texas Gulf Coast.
