Wednesday, August 12th at 4:00 p.m., Chief James Singletary will swear in four new Beaumont Police Officers. Please join us in the BPD Training Classroom, located at 255 College Street, as we congratulate these officers on their special occasion.
Sidney Gomez, 24, is a resident of Beaumont. Before graduating the Police Academy, Sidney worked in the food service industry. In addition, in 2019, Sidney earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice from Texas State University. Sidney decided to join the Law Enforcement profession while attending college. She was inspired by numerous professors.
Her mother, Sally, will pin her badge.

Zachary Guidry, 28, recently graduated as the Valedictorian of his Police Academy. In addition to earning his Peace Officer Certificate at Lamar University, in May of 2015, he earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice. Zachary is also a certified Firefighter and a certified EMT.
Zachary and his wife are the proud parents of two children, Bennett, 2 years old, and Ella, a 4 months old.
His wife, Jordan, will pin his badge.

Nathan Hodges, 29, was raised in Beaumont and is a graduate of Westbrook High School. Nathan comes from a family that has served their communities, as his father, grandfather, uncle, and great grandfather all have served in some form of Law Enforcement capacity. Prior to choosing to become a Police Officer, Nathan served four years in the United States Marine Corps, where he received an Honorable Discharge as a E4 – Corporal.
Nathan is the proud father of two children, Liam, 8 years old and Layla, 4 years old.
His wife of eleven years, Sierra, will pin his badge.
Erika Sauceda, 26, is a resident of Beaumont. Erika earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism from the University of Texas at Austin. She was drawn to law enforcement by the desire to help people, and the opportunity to be a public figure for community change. She attended the University of Houston-Downtown Police Academy where she earned her Peace Officer Certificate.
