Thursday, September 14, 2017 at 3:00 P.M., Chief Singletary will swear in 4 new Beaumont Police Officers. Please join us in the BPD Training Classroom as we welcome these new Officers and their families to the Beaumont Police Department.

The new officers are:

Brandon Rodriguez, 23, is a resident of Nederland.  For the past five (5) years Brandon has served in the U.S. Marine Corps Reserves.  Most recently he served over one (1) year as a Police Officer with the Lamar University Police Department.

Pinning his badge today will be his wife, Emily.

Alec Garcia, 25, is a resident of Beaumont.  He attended Lamar University and is graduate from the L.I.T. Regional Police Academy.  Alec most recently served over two (2) years as a Deputy with the Chambers County Sheriff’s Office

Pinning his badge today will be his fiancé, Camille.

Andrew Fitzer, 30, is a resident of Beaumont.  He attended Lamar University and is a graduate from the L.I.T. Regional Police Academy.  Andrew served four (4) years in the U.S. Army and four (4) years in the National Guard, earning an Honorable Discharge.  Most recently Andrew served over two years as a Police Officer with the Lamar University Police Department.

Andrew is married to his wife Lacey and they have a six (6) year old daughter, Alexandra.  They are expecting their second daughter in October.

Pinning his badge today will be his sister-in-law, Det. Jacobs.

Shawn Schroeder, 29, is a resident of Beaumont.  He earned an Associates degree from L.I.T. in Applied Science.  Shawn is also a graduate from the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Academy.  Most recently Shawn served three (3) years as a Correctional Officer with the Jefferson County Correctional Facility.

Pinning his badge today will be his mother, Hope.
