On Tuesday, December 24, 2019 at 10:53 p.m. Beaumont Police responded to the Kinsel dealership located at 3355 Eastex, in reference to a white male subject pulling on door handles of vehicles. When officers arrived, they located the suspect who began to run from officers. While fleeing the suspect attempted to hide under a vehicle where officers located him and he was taken into custody. While exiting from underneath the vehicle, the suspect attempted to discard a stolen .40 caliber pistol that was recovered by police. The suspect was identified as Roger Dale Gallier. Gallier also attempted to discard a back pack while fleeing from police that was recovered and contained another stolen .40 caliber pistol, multiple pieces of identifying information not belonging to Gallier, and illegal narcotics.
During the investigation, officers were able to locate Gallier’s vehicle a white Ford F-250 concealed in the parking lot which contained fictitious license plates. Inside the bed of the vehicle was a stolen tail gate from a vehicle in the sales lot along with several other items believed to be stolen as well. Officers also determined that Gallier was a convicted felon and had an outstanding warrant for Fail to comply with sex offender registration out of Polk county.
Gallier was arrested for evading, felon in possession of firearm, theft of firearm, fraudulent possession of identifying information, felony theft, possession of controlled substance x2, and his outstanding warrant for fail to comply with sex offender registration from Polk county. Gallier was transported to the Jefferson County Jail and booked in for the above charges.
