On Thursday, December 22, 2016 at 8:00a.m., Officers responded to Some Other Place, 1240 McFaddin, in reference to a Burglary. It was discovered that a storage unit was burglarized and 13 bicycles had been stolen. The bicycles were scheduled to be given away this afternoon to local families, as part of Some Other Place’s Christmas Giving Program. After taking the burglary report, Officers continued to investigate and were given a tip from a citizen. The tip ultimately led to the recovery of all 13 bicycles from an abandoned house in the 1100 block of Liberty. The bicycles were returned to Some Other Place in time for the Giveaway. Detectives ask anyone with information about the person(s) who committed this crime to call Southeast Texas Crime Stoppers at 409.833.TIPS (8477).
