On Saturday, May 13, 2017 at about 12:35 a.m., Beaumont Police responded to the 4600 block of Eastex (Northbound) in reference to a single vehicle crash of a black Ford Focus. Prior to Officers arriving, several passer-bys stopped to check on the initial crash, in which the driver had already fled the scene. During that time, a white Ford F-150, driven by Patrick Grandchampt, a 33 year old Nederland Man (pictured), entered the wreck scene and struck one of the Good Samaritan’s that had stopped to help. The victim was transported to a local hospital, where she was pronounced deceased. Grandchampt was placed under arrest for Intoxication Manslaughter and transported to the Jefferson County Jail.
The victim is identified as 37 year old, Brandi Milliner, next of kin has been notified.
