On Saturday, December 09, 2017 at 2:11 am, Beaumont Police responded to Club Rumba located at 3684 College St. in reference to a disturbance. Witnesses told officers that a fight broke out inside the club and continued in the parking lot. Multiple subjects retrieved firearms and began shooting at each other. Five people suffered gunshot wounds and one victim, 27 year old Ronald Livings, was killed. Beaumont Police Detectives interviewed many witnesses and through the course of their investigation, obtained a murder warrant for Damon Marques Pierce, a 21 year old Port Arthur man. On Monday, March 12, 2018 the U.S. Marshal’s and the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office Warrant Division located Pierce in Port Arthur and arrested him for his Murder Warrant. Pierce was transported to the Jefferson County Jail where he is being held on a $500,000 bond.
