On Tuesday, November 29, 2016 at 10:30 a.m., the Beaumont Police Department will be promoting two Officers to the rank of Sergeant. The promotional ceremony will take place at the Beaumont Police Department Training Classroom, located at 255 College.

Christopher Brinkmeyer is an 8 year officer with the Beaumont Police Department. Officer Brinkmeyer attended Lamar University and has an Advanced Peace Officer Certification. Officer Brinkmeyer also holds an Instructor’s Certification and often assists with instruction at the L.I.T. Regional Police Academy. Officer Brinkmeyer served in the Patrol Division as a Field Training Officer and a Patrol Officer. He has also served in the Special Assignment Unit and most recently served in the Criminal Investigations Division working in Property Crimes.

Aaron Pickering is a 7 year officer with the Beaumont Police Department. While in the Patrol Division, Officer Pickering served as a Field Training Officer for 5 years. He is also a current member of the Beaumont SWAT Team and Honor Guard. Officer Pickering previously served 4 years in the U.S. Army and earned the rank of Sergeant before being Honorably Discharged.
