The National Weather Service (NWS) in Lake Charles continues the freezing rain advisory for most of the region north of the coast tonight through Tuesday morning. Total ice accumulations will range from 0.01 inch along the I-10 corridor to 0.15 inch in east Texas and central Louisiana.

Icy spots on elevated roads and bridges could be a problem in east Texas and central Louisiana by midnight tonight. The I-10 corridor from Beaumont to Lake Charles and Lafayette will only see an isolated spot of icy conditions on elevated roads and bridges around sunrise Tuesday. No widespread power outages are expected.

Temperatures will be warming up by 9 am Tuesday morning and icy conditions should be improved region-wide by noon.
