Readers can start 2014 off with a bag full of bargains. The Beaumont Public Library System will hold its annual Friends of the Library Book Sale from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 10, and Saturday, Jan. 11. This year’s event will be held on the bottom floor of the Main Library.
The library will hold a preview sale on Thursday, Jan. 9, from noon to 6 p.m. This special event is open to members of the Friends of the Beaumont Public Library System, or those interested in joining the group. There is a membership fee of $10, and a short application required to join the group.
The annual sale features thousands of fiction, non-fiction, children’s, and paperback books, CD’s, DVD’s, magazines, and more. Prices range from $.25 to $1. Proceeds go toward library programs. Patrons are asked to provide their own bags or boxes.
