On Wednesday, May 4, 2016 the Sabine- Neches Chiefs’ Association will hold their 800th monthly meeting. The monthly meeting will be held at the Brown Center in Orange located at 4205 W. Park Ave, Orange, Texas. The meeting will begin at 10am.

Established in 1949, a group of representatives from 4 local fire departments and 5 industrial facilities met for the purpose of organizing the mutual aid group. At the first meeting, the Sabine-Neches Chief’s Association was formed as a 501© 4 organization. Today, there are over 130 member organizations made up of emergency responders from Fire, Police, Industry, Emergency Management, Public Works, Public Health, EMS, Hospitals, Schools, County, Local Emergency Planning Committee, State and Federal organizations.

The Sabine-Neches Chiefs’ Association (SNCA) comprised of various public and private entities noted above prepare for and provide direct assistance to natural, technological, and terrorism based incidents for Jefferson, Hardin, and Orange Counties including mutual aid assistance to surrounding counties. The SNCA members are our first responders and represent the first line of defense in the event of a threat from natural or man-made disasters or threats to the health, property or security of our communities.
