On Tuesday, March 7, 2017 at about 12:20 a.m., Beaumont Police responded to the 5600 block of Forest Glade in reference to multiple calls of shots fired. When Officers arrived they located the suspect, Matthew Gilbert, a 29 year old Beaumont Man. Investigation revealed that Gilbert had fired numerous shots in the area and inside his residence, where two victims were present. Officers placed Gilbert under arrest for deadly conduct, endangering a child, discharging a firearm in a municipality, and unlawfully carrying a weapon. Gilbert was transported to the Jefferson County Jail.
