Smoke Forces Evacuation of Cafe Del Rio, 2830 IH 10 E

Just before Noon, Beaumont Fire Rescue units responded to a fire alarm at Cafe Del Rio, 2830 IH 10 E. There was a report of smoke in the bar area. The restaurant was evacuated while firefighters worked to determine the source of the smoke. The source of the smoke was found to be an air handler unit above the bar. Firefighters were able to isolate that unit and there was no actual fire damage. A Beaumont Health Inspector checked the restaurant and they were cleared to open shortly after 12:30 PM.
