At approximately 1:20 AM, Beaumont Fire Rescue units responded to a structure fire at 2270 Avenue C, which is the location of the former Koch Flower Shop. When firefighters arrived, they found the vacant building heavily involved by fire. It took approximately an hour to control the fire. The building was completely destroyed. Callers reporting the fire also reported seeing juveniles run from the building and there was evidence of fireworks near the building.
