Shortly after 8:00 PM, Beaumont Fire Rescue units responded to a reported structure fire at 2705 9th street. When firefighters arrived, they saw flames coming from the edge of the roof. The occupants were able to escape without injury. Firefighters were able to control the fire within twenty minutes. The cause of the fire appears to be an electrical short. Red Cross was called to the scene to assist the occupants.
