Just before 8:30 AM, Beaumont Fire Rescue units responded to a report of smoke coming from a roof at 2845 Delaware. When firefighters arrived they found the attic of the home on fire. Firefighters were able to confine the fire damage to the attic area with some water damage to the first floor of the home. The occupant was able to escape without injury before firefighters arrived. It appears the fire was caused by the water heater.
