Shortly after 7:30 AM, Beaumont Fire Rescue units responded to a reported fire in an apartment at 4050 Maida. When firefighters arrived, they found a small fire in the hallway of one apartment. The fire was confined to a small area with only minor smoke and water damage. No one was home in the apartment at the time of the fire. No other apartments were affected. Investigation of the scene indicated the fire was deliberate and has been ruled as a case of arson.
