At approximately 1:00 AM, Beaumont Fire Rescue units responded to a reported structure fire at 4080 Ector. When Firefighters arrived, they found the kitchen of the home on fire. Firefighters were able to contain the fire damage to the kitchen area but there was smoke damage throughout the house. The fire appears to be an accident caused by cooking equipment. No one was home at the time of the fire and there were no injuries.
