At approximately 2:15 AM, Beaumont Fire Rescue units responded to a structure fire reported at 4690 Dallas. When firefighters arrived, they found the home with flames through the roof. Firefighters were able to make a quick attack and extinguish the fire, confining fire damage to one area of the roof and the room directly below. No one was home at the time of the fire. The fire appears to have been caused by an electrical short in the wall. Two firefighters sustained minor burns while fighting the fire. They were both treated on the scene by Beaumont EMS.
