A structure fire at 2394 Angelina was reported by a passerby at 10:15 AM. When Beaumont firefighters arrived they found smoke coming from the roof vents of a garage apartment. When firefighters entered the upper apartment they found fire in the attic. The fire was quickly extinguished and fire damage was confined to the area just above the bathroom. The fire appears to have been caused by a ventilation fan in the ceiling of the bathroom. There were two occupied apartments and the occupants were able to escape without injury. Those two occupants were displaced by the fire and Red Cross was called to assist them.
