In 2023, the Beaumont City Council approved a $1.4 million budget for Parks improvements. Beaumont City Council has voted to move forward with plans to restore Riverfront Park in downtown Beaumont.

Callan Marine Ltd. has officially been authorized to begin the project on March 6, 2023, which gives a tentative completion date of September 6, 2024.

Expect to see demolition of landside items roughly April to May, dredging and excavation May to September, and installation of the steel bulkhead in September. Who else can’t wait to walk the trails again?

Introducing the Nature Explorers Program!

This once-a-month nature exploration workshop is dedicated to helping children develop a sense of wonder and appreciation for the natural world.

While these Nature’s Explorers monthly sessions are nature-based science topics for kids with interactive activities that are designed primarily for children in the five to ten-year-old age range (K-5th grades), everyone in the family will enjoy learning something about different parts of nature. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

The Nature Explorers “Come and Go” sessions are FREE and open to the public and will be held at the Tyrrell Park Nature Center, located at 3930 Babe Zaharias Drive in Beaumont in our newly renovated historic building in the center of Tyrrell Park
