Press Release 11/18/2019
The Beaumont Public Library System in conjunction with Operation Photo Rescue (OPR) will conduct a two day Hurricane Harvey and Tropical Storm Imelda photo restoration project at the Theodore Johns Library on Nov 22 and 23 from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. If you have photographs that were ruined in the storms, please come to the library during the hours listed. Operation Photo Rescue will be scanning up to 20 photographs per family over the two day period for restoration. Items scanned will be uploaded to a secure server and then worked on by professional photographers and artists who volunteer. Representatives of OPR and the Library System will be on hand to help things get rolling! No items will be kept by OPR. Copies of the photos will then be returned to participants when restored. This is a FREE service provided by OPR. This is a first come first serve process and we hope to have many people take advantage of this service.
