On Tuesday, April 23, 2019, at about 10:30 p.m., two Beaumont Police Officers were on patrol near Delaware and Eastex Freeway, when they observed a vehicle traveling slowly through the area with no lights on. The Officers initiated a traffic stop on the vehicle and upon making their approach, observed an AR rifle resting in between the driver and front right passenger. During the stop, Promethazine, Marijuana and a mask was located inside of the vehicle and the two occupants were placed under arrest. Javonte Rhodes (19 year old Beaumont resident, pictured below with goatee) and Isaiah Brewer (19 year old Beaumont resident, pictured below with beard) were both transported to the Jefferson County Jail, charged with Possession of Marijuana. Brewer was also charged with Possession of a Dangerous Drug (Promethazine).
