On Tuesday, February 4, 2020 at 7:48 p.m., BPD Officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle near Lucas and Eastex Freeway. During the stop, a K-9 Officer was called to assist and investigation led to approximately 16.5 grams of Methamphetamine, 6.8 grams of cocaine, 14.5 grams MDMA (also known as ecstasy), 47.8 grams of Alprazolam, and two loaded handguns. The two occupants of the vehicle were placed under arrest and transported to the Jefferson County Jail where they were both charged with four counts of  Possession of a Controlled Substance and Unlawfully Carrying a Weapon. The suspects were identified as Paul Rodriguez, a 23 year old Port Arthur resident and Adriana Torres, a 23 year old Pasadena resident.
