The Beaumont Police Department Special Crimes Unit has filed two Robbery cases with Juvenile Probation in reference to a Robbery that occurred on 9-30-16 of a 13 year old.
During the investigation, it was learned that one of the juvenile suspects struck the victim in the jaw causing the victim to fall to the concrete. When the victim was on the ground another juvenile suspect reached into his pocket taking the victim’s cell phone. This investigation required that a large number of witnesses be interviewed and actor identifications be made. The victim received a broken jaw as a result of the assault.
Detectives identified the other juveniles with the two actors, but determined that their actions did not rise to the level where criminal charges could be filed.
