Beaumont, TX. – Thursday 9/21/2017 around noon a fire was reported in the 2900 block of Victoria. The caller said that an apartment was on fire. When the fire department arrived, they found a two-story house with fire coming from one of the windows upstairs. The first fire engine on scene (Engine 10) made an interior attack. Fire damage was contained to the second floor. Smoke and water damage was sustained through the rest of the house. All occupants made it out of the residence prior to the fire department arriving. One family pet, a dog, perished in the fire. No firefighters or citizens were injured during the fire. Red Cross is assisting the residents with a place to stay due to the damage.
