Thursday, January 22, 2020, Officers with the Beaumont Police Department Narcotics and Vice Unit and the Special Assignment Unit (SAU) prepared and presented 52 cases for criminal prosecution to the Jefferson County District Attorney’s Office. 52 arrest warrants were issued for 34 separate offenders. On 01/23/2020, the Beaumont Police Department Narcotics and Vice Unit planned and executed a city wide “Bust Out”for the outstanding warrants along with the assistance of SAU, the US Marshals, ATF, DEA, Beaumont Police K-9 Unit, Beaumont Police Traffic Unit and the Jefferson County Warrant Division. The combined arrest teams were able to locate and serve 23 arrest warrants on 13 of the original wanted offenders named in the “Bust Out” within a few hours. The arrest teams also served an additional 7 arrest warrants on 5 additional offenders located within the city, one wanted for two outstanding federal warrants. Two additional felony drug cases were also made on subjects that were taken in custody during the bust out. Most of the warrants served were related to drug charges, prostitution or gun offenses.
